2. History, Objectives and Research Outcomes

The electrochemistry and Bioanalytical Chemistry (EBM) has been established since in May, 2016 at the Department of Advanced Materials Science and Nanotechnology, University of Science and Nanotechnology (USTH).

In the next 5 – 7 years, EBM will mainly focus on the fundamental researches which towards to the many high applications.  Specially, EBM aims to develop the novel electrochemical sensing systems in Biosensor application. These novel sensing systems can reach to very high sensitivity and a good stability…they are easily applied into many fields of application such as agricultural, food safety, environmental monitoring…

1. Elaboration of hybrid immunosensor based on dual channel tranduction mechanisms: electrochemical and surface plasmon resonance detection for determining organic pollutants in waters.” – Funded by NAFOSTED from 5/2017 to 4/2017
2. Synthesis and characterization of the hybrid organic/inorganic materials. Applications in enzyme-based electrochemical biosensors for glucose detection” – Funded by USTH, 2017
3. Development of a microfluidic system for investigating a large number of single cancer cells” – funded by NAFOSTED from 2018 to 2020
4. Development of multiplex sensing system integrated with wireless module for detection of toxins in agricultural products” – Funded by Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, 2017-2018
5. Development of highly sensitive biosensing systems with assistance of gold nanoparticles”, Funded by USTH, 2017
