USTH signed a Memorandum of Understanding with FPT University.

On 18 May, representatives of the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH, Vietnam France University) signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with FPT University to enhance collaborations in training.

Attending the ceremony, from USTH, there were Prof. Etienne Saur (Principal Rector), Dr. Nguyen Hai Dang (Vice Rector) and representatives from Department of Information and Communication Technology; from FPTU, Dr. Nguyen Khac Thanh (Rector), Dr. Nguyen Kim Anh (Vice Rector) and representatives from other departments also attended the meeting.

Addressing at the signing ceremony, on behalf of FPT University, Dr. Nguyen Khac Thanh expressed his warm welcome to the representatives of USTH and hoped that the MoU will strengthen the collaboration between the two universities in research and training.

According to the MoU, USTH and FPTU agree to enhance the academic cooperation, encouraging and introducing the staff, lecturers and students at FPTU for training programs at USTH. Outstanding applications from FPTU can access the USTH’s scholarship and internship opportunities in France. 

The two universities also discussed future plans for lecturer exchange programs, in which visiting lecturers can give training courses, participate in conferences, seminars, workshops and other educational events at both universities.

Dr. Nguyen Khac Thanh, Rector of FPT University expressed high expectations of a more profound collaboration with USTH for educational quality in organizing doctorate programs.

Prof. Etienne Saur, Principal Rector of USTH, thanked FPTU for a warming welcome and mentioned the long history of quality collaboration between the two universities in AI technology (Artificial Intelligence technology) and educational programs. He expected this MoU signing to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two universities.

Prof. Etienne Saur also highlighted the distinctive methods and scales of training, yet emphasized that these differences are the factors to tighten the cooperation between USTH and FPTU  for better outcomes in the near future.
