USTH signs MoU with Graduate University of Science and Technology

Under the order of Chairman of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), in order to encourage cooperation between two institutes which both belong to VAST, University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) and Graduate University of Science and Technology (GUST) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 30th October 2017

The event was attended by Prof. Phan Ngoc Minh - President of VAST cum. Director of GUST. On USTH side, there were Prof. Patrick Boiron - Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Thi Mai Thanh and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Duc Thanh - Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Thi Thu Ha and Ms. Nguyen Thanh Huyen - Co - Director of Administration. On GUST side there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Dai Lam and Dr. Nguyen Tien Dat - Vice Director of GUST, along with other department leaders.

Prof. Phan Ngoc Minh said: " One of the most important functions of VAST is to provide the society with high skilled labour. USTH and GUST are two educational institutions which both belong to VAST and thus need to work closely with each other and with other research units within VAST. The leaders of VAST is considerate towards the development of both universities and wish them to strengthen their relationship with regards to training and research activities so as to enhance the overall traning quality and put VAST resources to the best use.

Prof. Patrick Boiron - Rector of USTH expressed his delightment regarding the event. According to Prof. Patrick Boiron, this MoU is necessary for the development of both universities. He also sent his gratitudes to VAST leaders for their support. Prof. Patrick Boiron emphasized his belief in bright prospecs of future collaborations between USTH and GUST. The terms and conditions of the MoU will be revised on an annual basis to ensure they are executed effectively.

Two universities are determined to execute the share of infrastructure, the exchange of teachers, training programs as well co-operate to establish conferences and workshops.
