Applying to USTH


If your home university has an exchange agreement with USTH (see Exchange partners) then please liaise directly with its study abroad office when you apply. We can only accept applications for our exchange programmes from students who have been formally nominated by their home university.
If your university does not currently have an agreement with USTH, we consider direct applications for short-term study. Please bear in mind it is your responsibility to liaise with your home institution about transferring credits for your study at USTH.

Application will need to be sent via email to International Cooperation Office, including following documents: 

  • a copy of your passport;
  • an incoming exchange application form;
  • full certified transcripts of your academic achievements and results to date from your home institution (with official English translation);
  • a report from a teacher who is familiar with your academic work at your present university or college;
  • all courses at USTH are delivered in English so students will need to provide proof of English language at the required level as outlined on the relevant programme page
  • learning agreement (for students under the ERASMUS exchange programs)


Step 1: Intern student submits internship application dossier to International Cooperation Office (ICO):

1. Contact, discuss and get approval of prospective supervisors at home university and USTH on student’s internship plan.
2. Complete internship application form, internship agreement and obtains all signatures of home supervisors and representatives prior to submitting the Internship Application package to International Office, USTH.
3. Submit Intern Application Dossier (scanned copy) to International Cooperation Office via email: [email protected]  or [email protected]

Step 2: ICO submits internship application dossier to Rector Board for approval of internship agreement and
acceptance letter .

Step 3: ICO provides internship agreement and an acceptance letter to students.  

Step 4:  VISA application (student self-apply or support by USTH’s International Affairs Officer) and find a dormitory place/guesthouse (

Step 5: Student arrives and starts internship
