The ECTS is based on the principle that 60 credits measure the workload of a full-time student during one academic year. The student workload of a full-time study program in Europe amount in most cases to around 1500-1800 hours per year and those cases one credit stands for around 25-30 working hours (in class, practical, homework, assignment).

The first two semesters of the bachelor program at USTH are in common foundation year for all students with 60 ECTS. The natural sciences (mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry) and informatics technology, management science, foreign languages are taught.
For the intake [2011-2014], [2012-2015], [2014-2017], the training program is in Space and Aeronautics field. We are preparing for the new training program of Space and Aeronautics for the intake [2015-2018].

The four next semesters are the wide field in Space and Aeronautics, students are trained with strong scientific background in space science and space technology associated with practical works. There are about 30% practical in disciplinary teaching modules. These modules may be base on studying industrial systems, on projects and/or on training periods.
Students are also learning a lot of skills during the group project and the internship, which are supervised by the international and/or national experts at high quality institutes for R&D and laboratories worldwide up to 6 months. An important effort is devoted for pedagogy, following and supporting for all students.
