Prof. Phạm Vũ Luận, Minister of Education and Training; H.E Jean-Noël POIRIER, French Ambassador to Vietnam; Prof. Châu Văn Minh, President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, among many other distinguished guests, senior representatives from various State management agencies, universities and institutions, national and international partners and supporters, representatives from various media agencies, join the entire contingent of USTH management, staff, lecturers and students in the special ceremony.
On this occasion, USTH also receives congratulations letters and flowers from Le Quy Don University, Quy Nhon University, Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM), Vietnam Airlines, Agribank, Hanoi Public Security Department…, who have always been valuable partners and supporters of USTH.
The presence of all the distinguished guests at the ceremony makes its an significant event to all USTHers, who join together in our festive day of joys and pride.
Specially, in recognition of USTH’s efforts and excellent achievements in the 2010-2015 period, the Minister of MoET confers a Certificate of Merits to the university at the ceremony.
Prof. Patrick Boiron, Rector of USTH gives the opening speech, in which he convey special thanks to the guidance and support from the Governments of Vietnam and France, French Embassy in Vietnam, MoET, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development of France, Ministry of Higher Education and Research of France, VAST, French Consortium of universities and institutions, Asia Development Bank (ADB), and all the Vietnamese and French partners who have been co-operating closely with USTH.
MoET Minister Pham Vu Luan, French Ambassador to Vietnam Jean-Noël POIRIER and VAST President Chau Van Minh all give their speech at the ceremony, to congratulate USTH for its great efforts and achievements made in the 5 years, and to encourage USTH to make even better steps of development in the time to come.
At the closing of the ceremony, Minister Pham Vu Luan beats the drum to signal the official start of the new school year for USTH students and wish them the best study results and thus personal development given their good choice of being part of USTH, and encouraging them to contribute to the national cause of science-technology development.
