A workshop about Intellectual Property and related issues will be organised from Feb 22 to March 2 at USTH.
This is part of the capacity building program that USTH is deploying for its young PhDs and lecturers, but it is also open to researchers, technical staff as well as Master students who wish to be trained in such important issues. Upon completion of this training workshop, participants should be able to: - have a better overview of intellectual property issues - understand the importance of industry links and technology transfer, in general, and especially for USTH - better identify what may be patented and how to file a patent application, and understand the importance of patenting some of their research results. - be better prepared to negotiation of scientific cooperation with private companies - have a better view of how to protect their intellectual property rights as well as those of USTH. Ms. Laurence LE TEXIER, PhD. & European Patent Attorney,
former director of the IP and licensing department of the French Blood Establishment (EFS), will be the trainer for this workshop. The Workshop Program can be found here: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY WORKSHOP-PROGRAM
