The two partners will also aim at the creation of a joint research laboratory, and USTH will assign young researchers, including PhD graduates returning from France after the completion of their PhD thesis, PhD and Master students to this joint research laboratory.
USTH will support NIHE by providing training for NIHE staff in relevant fields. Meanwhile NIHE provides co-supervision of undergraduate and graduate students (internships, PhD students) if the students are accepted by the heads of the NIHE laboratories to work on relevant research topics. NIHE hosts USTH students in its laboratories and gives them access to facilities necessary for the development of their research projects.
NIHE and USTH lecturers and researchers contribute in the development and implementation of common projects, including national/international projects in the
relevant scientific fields of cooperation. NIHE and USTH support and/or share teaching and research facilities (laboratories, equipment, computer facilities, etc.) for common projects.
Other contents covered in the MoU include: NIHE and USTH organize workshops, seminars and conferences in the relevant scientific fields of cooperation; both NIHE and USTH affiliations are mentioned in publications involving common research work, or when USTH master/PhD students/researchers and NIHE staff are involved…
The cooperation term of this MoU shall be two years, commencing from the signing date.
In another similar development, a 5-year MoU was also signed between USTH and the International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (MANA) at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan, earlier in September 2015, to: strengthen and promote institutional exchange of lecturers and researchers; exchange of scientific and technical information; organize symposia, conferences and workshops; propose opportunities to train and foster young scientists; and encourage joint research activities./.
