Admission Calls for Master Programs Academic Year 2019 - 2020


University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH, also called Vietnam France University) is an advanced-model international public university established by the Decision No. 2067/QĐ-TTg dated December 9, 2009 of the Prime Minister and under the Inter-governmental Agreement between Vietnam and France on November 12th, 2009.

USTH follows the European Bologna Process: Bachelor (3 years, 180 ECTS), Master (2 years, 120 ECTS), PhD (3 years). USTH’s teaching methods are based on high level of practices in research and development laboratories, and close linkage with industries through internships in Vietnam and other countries. The percentage of master students doing intership abroad is up to 60%. 100% teaching team of USTH has PhD degree from prestigious universities in foreign countries, of which 75% are foreign lecturers with international teaching experience. The official teaching language at USTH is English.

Anually, USTH provides various attractive scholarship policies for students.

After graduation, students will be granted 02 Master degrees (one by USTH and one by French Institution), which are widely recognized in the world.

Degree of Quantitative and Computational Finance (QCF) program is only granted by USTH and degree of International Air Transport Operations Management (IATOM is only granted  by Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile (ENAC).

4. Admission procedures and criteria
  • Admission procedure: preliminary selection and interview in English.
  • Admission criteria:

               - Having a bachelor degree;
               - Having ability to study in English.

* Applicants who are at last year of Bachelor program must submit updated academic transcript and a confirmation letter on expected graduating time (copies and English translated versions).

Applicants who have completed their Bachelor program but not yet received their diploma must submit academic transcript or temporary graduation certificate (copies and English translated versions).

Applicants who want to apply as an exchange student need to provide at least the transcripts of two recent semesters up to the present.

** Curriculum Vitae is considered as a compulsory document only for QCF program.

7. Scholarship and Fellowship

Annually, USTH provides scholarships according to state policies and USTH regulations. Call for scholarship application will be announced after student’s enrollment.

 (*): Students are required to have a working contract and a letter of acceptance from their host institutions.


Pathway to Success Scholarship

Maximum 40,000,000 VND

Students have excellent academic achievements in the first year. Scholarships are considered from high to low until the end of the quota.


8. Fees
  • Admission fee: 500,000 VND/candidate, non-refundable in any cases;
